Validity

• Refers to how something is an explanation of a behaviour. Involves control of realism and generalizability
• Internal validity

  • The extent to which a study measures what it is supposed to measure (accuracy)
• External validity (similar to ecological)

  • Extent to which the study can be generalised to outside world
